Dr Ian BARNES

Dr Barnes is an Australian trained and qualified general practitioner.
In addition to his work as a general practitioner, Dr Barnes also has considerable experience as a surgical assistant. His main interests are neurosurgery and orthopaedic surgery. However, he has worked across a wide range of specialties at all hospitals within Hobart.
Dr Barnes has a particular interest in musculoskeletal medicine. He consults with patients at the Centre for Neurosurgery and assists Mr Thani and Dr Ibbett in surgery.

Dr McSwan is Australian trained with degrees in Medicine, Surgery and Medical Science. He attained his specialist Fellowship in General Practice and practiced in Melbourne before returning to Hobart.
Dr McSwan has been working as a Surgical Assistant in a variety of specialty areas including neurosurgery. In addition to his surgical work, Dr McSwan assesses patients with spinal conditions as part of the multidisciplinary team at Centre for Neurosurgery.

Dr Thompson is an Australian trained general practitioner with extensive experience as a Surgical Assistant at the Centre for Neurosurgery. He also plays a vital role in assessing patients with spinal conditions as part of a collaborative team effort. Dr Thompson's expertise and dedication ensure that patients receive thorough evaluations and appropriate care, contributing to our commitment to excellence in neurosurgical services.
